The teacher had been fired from his job for turning up at school drunk.

Coimbatore: A former German teacher of a private school is being pursued in Kerala by a special police squad from Sulur with regard to a hoax bomb threat to the school after he was terminated from his job for being drunk at school.

A Special Task Force (STF) has rushed to Kerala to nab the former German teacher of a private school 'Yellow Train' in Sulur's Mudalipalayam area. Kamalesan (39) from Kandanchavadi in Puducherry, a Sri Lankan Tamil residing at Alanthurai in Coimbatore was working as a German teacher at the private school and had reportedly arrived at the school drunk two days ago. The school management expelled him from the job. Enraged at losing his job, Kamalesan contacted another former teacher 'Valli' who had also worked at the school, and stated that there were bombs placed in the school.

Valli immediately informed the school management about the information she had received from Kamalesan, and thereafter the Sulur police were also informed. Bomb experts and officials accompanied by a sniffer dog searched the entire school but did not find any bombs. During the investigation, the police traced Kamalesan to Kerala from where the phone call had been made. A special team of police has rushed to Kerala to arrest him for the hoax bomb threat.
