Woman alleges death threat by private hospital in Coimbatore for filing complaint suspecting organ theft; petitions Collector

In an ongoing case, a woman from Tirupur has alleged of death threats by a private hospital, here, after she had filed a complaint with the City Police Commissioner's office over suspicion in her mother's death and alleged organ theft.



Tirupur: In an ongoing case, a woman from Tirupur has alleged of death threats by a private hospital, here, after she had filed a complaint with the City Police Commissioner's office over suspicion in her mother's death and alleged organ theft.



Seeking legal action on her complaint, the woman along with members of Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam (TPDK) petitioned the District Collector, today.

A few months back, Praveena, a native of Udumalpet in Tirupur district lodged a complaint at the City Police Commissioner's office alleging of medical negligence and suspicion over her mother's death. She noted in her petition a private hospital in Sundarapuram here was involved in organ theft.



The woman accompanied by members of TPDK, today petitioned the District Collector stating that no action was taken thus far, on her complaint to the Police Commissioner.

In her petition, she demanded immediate action against the private hospital for alleged organ theft and for issuing death threats to her.
