Government of Tamil Nadu will not implement this project without consulting the public on the Chennai-Salem travel time reduction route.

Coimbatore: On behalf of the Kovai Kulangal Paathukaapu Amaippu, a sapling planting program was held at the Kattampatti lake area adjacent to Annur, Coimbatore.

3000 saplings of 35 varieties including ’Vengai, naaval and Karuvachchi’ were planted. State Secretary of the DMK Environment Wing Karthikeya Sivasenapathy was the special guest at the event and inaugurated the tree planting event. He also opened the inscription.
