Coimbatore: The tax collection percentage in Coimbatore has increased from 60 to 80 percent in Coimbatore.

The tax collection in Coimbatore has increased from 60 percent to 80 percent. A 25-member team of five persons per zone has been constituted to intensify the collection of taxes in Coimbatore Corporation. They have been asked to continue collecting taxes till March 31.

The main revenue of Coimbatore Corporation comes from water tax and property tax. This year, there was a delay in payment of taxes due to the urban local body elections in January and February, as the financial year of the current year will end by 31st this month.
