World Tuberculosis Day; Awareness rally held at Valparai

The World TB Day is observed on 24th of March annually and an awareness rally with students carrying banners spreading messages that everyone must come together to create a tb-free society was held in Valparai


Valparai: A rally to create awareness on the ill effects of Tuberculosis and to create a TB-free society was held at Valparai.

On the occasion of World Tuberculosis Awareness Day, an awareness rally was organized by the Youth Red Cross Society of The Government Arts and Science College on Thursday 24th March, to create awareness among the people. Students of arts college participated in the awareness rally that began from the arts college premises and passed through the Gandhi statue bus stand. Participants distributed pamphlets to the public.



People with diabetes and asthma are more likely to get TB. Each TB patient will be given Rs. 3000,to take care of their nutrition requirements. The government is sponsoring the funds as a bid to prevent the spread of TB. The students carried banners and spread the awareness messages to come together to create a tb-free society.

Naturopathy and Yoga Doctor Karthikeyan, Senior Treatment Supervisor Vijayakumar, Health Observer M. Divya, Laboratory Officer Malarkodi, and Mani Rajapad were present.
