Coimbatore: The District Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore, Selvanagarthinam, has been transferred to Chennai, to the post of Deputy Director of Police Academy.
As many as 13 top IPS officers in Tamil Nadu have been transferred on Tuesday, 22nd March. The Coimbatore District SP, Selvanagarathinam has been transferred to Chennai and will take over as the Deputy Director of the Police Training Academy. Meanwhile, V Badri Narayanan, who was the SP of Kanyakumari district, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Coimbatore.
The transfers were applicable with immediate effect. It is noteworthy that the SP Selvanagarathinam brought in the DAD-Drive against Drugs in Coimbatore to nab those involved in the illegal sale of banned contraband.
