Coimbatore: The Mettupalayam sub-division is adjudged as the best police sub-division in Coimbatore range. The District SP felicitated the police officers on the review meeting held on the 17th of March.
On March 17, a monthly review meeting was held at the Coimbatore district police office under the chairmanship of Superintendent of Police Selvanagarathinam. At the review meeting, a monthly circular and cash prize were awarded for crime prevention measures, better investigation, completion of excess cases in court, execution of court warrants, arrest of old criminals, and maintenance of law and order. The Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police felicitated Mettupalayam Sub-Division Deputy Superintendent of Police Balamurugan by presenting the rolling trophy to him for his achievements in the last month.
The West Zone IG Sudhakar also felicitated the Mettupalayam sub-division Deputy Superintendent Balamurugan as the Mettupalayam sub-division in the Coimbatore range has been selected as the best sub-division. Similarly, Mettupalayam Police Station has adjudged the best Police Station in Coimbatore District and Mettupalayam Inspector Shanmugam was announced as the Best Police Inspector in Coimbatore District and the district SP handed him the rolling trophy, followed by the felicitation of Damodaran, who is in judicial charge at Mettupalayam Police Station, for finishing off more cases in Mettupalayam court.
The SP also presented certificates to Special Sub-Inspector Ganesan, Head Constable Sundararajan, Head Constable Suresh, and Head Constable Venugopal. All the awardees met Mettupalayam Judicial Magistrate K.S.S. Siva on 22.3.2022, who felicitated and congratulated them.
