A 45-year-old man died after a private bus knocked down his two-wheeler on the Udumalpet NH, and the video footage recovered from the private bus has created a disturbance as it is viral on social media
Pollachi: A 45-year-old man who was travelling on the Udumalpet NH was knocked down by a private bus, killing him on the spot.
Ayyasamy, (45), is a native of Vellalapalayam village in Negamam near Pollachi, works as a card maker for protecting eggs. Ayyasamy was headed to Udumalpet from Pollachi on Udumalai NH on a two-wheeler, for business purposes.
His two-wheeler was reportedly hit by a private bus from Palani towards Pollachi near the Nallampalli section.
Ayyasamy sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.
Police from Komangalam police station rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the deceased and sent it for post mortem. Bus driver Senthil Kumar has also been arrested and is being interrogated.
The video of the incident was recorded on the CCTV installed in the bus, in which Ayyasamy travelling on the opposite side was hit by the bus, is creating a stir, as the video is viral on social media.
