Man kills wife's lover and surrenders to police in Tirupur

A Thiruvarur-based man surrendered at the Tirupur police station after killing his wife's lover, and the police have subsequently registered a case and investigated the case.


Tirupur: The Tirupur police arrested a man on charges of murdering another with an ammikkal.

Sasikumar hails from Thiruvarur district and is married to Priya. The couple has two kids at 14 and 12 ages. The couple is staying at 15 Velampalayam in Tirupur and works at two different knitwear companies.

Reportedly, Priya became acquainted with Tamilarasan, a native of Thiruvarur, who lives in 15 Velampalayam, working in Baniyan company, and the two had an extramarital affair. Priya left Sasikumar and continued to live with Tamilarasan, however, Sasikumar convinced her for the kids' sake, bringing her back home.

The woman received a call last night, 18th March, and left home stating she had work. A suspicious Sasikumar found her at Tamilarasan's house.



Enraged, Sasikumar killed Tamilarasan with an ammikkal, a traditional stone grinder at his house, and walked straight to the Velampalayam police station, surrendering for the murder.

The police have registered a murder charge on Sasikumar and have lodged him in judicial custody.
