Coimbatore: The Kattoor police registered cases under two sections and arrested a government bus conductor for sexually harassing a 22-year-old woman during travel.
A 22-year-old female passenger from the Tiruvannamalai district is studying at a private IAS coaching center in the Gandhipuram here. Reportedly, when she was travelling to Coimbatore from Salem, yesterday, 17th March, on the government bus of TN 33 N 3298 last evening, she was sexually assaulted by the bus conductor, Poovendran.
The woman lodged a complaint at the Kattoor Police station as soon as she reached Gandhipuram Bus stand. Police registered a case in two sections based on the complaint and arrested bus conductor Poovendran and lodged him in jail.
