Ailing old man hangs to death in Kinathukadavu

A 70-year-old Narayanasamy, who was suffering from illness for some time recently, hanged to death and the police are investigating the suicide based on his son's complaint


Coimbatore: A 70-year-old man suffering from illness committed suicide at his house in Singaiyanputhur near Kinathukadavu.

Narayanasamy, (70), lived in the Singaiyanpudur Kettukkarar Estate area near Kinathukadavu. He is survived by his wife, Ratnam, (54) and son Ganesh Kumar. Narayanasamy is said to have been ill for the past few months and last afternoon, 16th March, hanged to death while he was alone at home.

On a complaint filed by his son Ganesh Kumar, police registered a case and recovered Narayanasamy's body and sent him to Pollachi Government Hospital for post mortem. Police are investigating the matter.
