BJP’s Vanathi comments Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan lacks maturity

The Coimbatore South MLA and BJP Women’s National President Vanathi Srinivasan has stated that Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan lacks maturity, and questioned on his contributions towards railways for the city

Coimbatore: The BJP Women’s National President Vanathi Srinivasan has asked how many trains did MP PR Natarajan bring for Coimbatore?

Stating that MP PR Natarajan lacks maturity, Vanathi Srinivasan, Coimbatore South BJP MLA, has stated that MP is now using his letter head to criticise her, which he never uses for public’s issue.

“Natarajan knows that the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will definitely meet the demands of the people of Coimbatore, and this fear has led the well experienced man to make a statement without maturity.”

Vanathi released a statement that said, “I had personally met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in Delhi and submitted a memorandum urging for the long-standing demands of people of Coimbatore district, which MP PR Natarajan has criticized.”

She added that the Marxist Communist Coimbatore MP, is trying to hide the 79.55-km including Pollachi and Kinathukadavu railway stations in Coimbatore district, still under the Palakkad Division and is creating the impression that the entire Coimbatore district been annexed with the Salem Division.

Apart from railway division, Vanathi has reiterated to the Railway Minister various demands including train from Mettupalayam, Coimbatore to Tiruchendur, passenger train to nearby cities, circular train to reduce traffic congestion in Coimbatore city and improvement of the North Coimbatore railway station.

“Natarajan should have worked together as a Member of Lok Sabha when he met the Railway Minister in person as the MLA and made a request. He is reluctant to say that he is critical of me, anxious that all my demands will be fulfilled.”

Vanathi raised questions including, how many trains has been brought by the MP to Coimbatore since he assumed office in 2019?

“Why did the Communist Party not bring any new railway station after the completion of The Peelamedu railway station in 1956, even though he had been an MP from Coimbatore several times?” she questioned.

She reminded that in 1956, when Parvathi Krishnan of the Communist Party was an MP from Coimbatore, Coimbatore division was merged with Palakkad division by them, and lost the income of Tamil Nadu.

“What steps did you, as an MP in 2009-14, take to speed up the Podanur-Pollachi Broad Rail Project?”She questioned how many questions has Natarajan raised in Parliament during his entire 8-year tenure on Coimbatore Railways?

Adding that they are always ready to work with a Member of Parliament for the development of Coimbatore district, but he is blaming the MLA without any initiative and without any vision, and that it would be better for Coimbatore if he changed his attitude, the BJP leader said.
