Coimbatore: The Election Flying Squad has seized hot boxes meant for public distribution, worth ₹ 35000 at ward number 80 in Coimbatore, based on the information shared by the BJP party men.

As many as 1000 hot boxes worth ₹ 35000 have been confiscated by the Election flying squad from Ward 80, in Coimbatore, after BJP men informed the FST.



Reportedly, hot boxes were placed in cardboard boxes and hoarded in the newly constructed house at 80thWard, Ashok Nagar Govinda Swamy Layout under Coimbatore Corporation for distributing to the public in exchange for votes. The BJP members informed the Election Flying Squad officer and police about the placement of hot boxes. Subsequently, Arun, an election flying squad officer from the southern region, and the police seized hot boxes after arriving at the location.



The hot boxes seized are said to be worth ₹ 35000. The price of a hot box is printed at Rs 349. A total of 960 hot boxes have been seized in 10 cardboard boxes, creating a stir in the area.
