Drones to capture the event, LED screens for live telecast set up for Kundam Thiruvizha at Masani Amman temple in Pollachi

The Masani Amman temple Kundam Thiruvizha is set to happen on the 17th of February and the arrangements are being made. Drones to cover event and LED screens are placed for devotees to witness events outside of the temple.


Pollachi: The Anaimalai Masani Amman temple Kundam Thiruvizha arrangements are made as the event will be held on Thursday, 17th of February.

The most famous ritual, the Kundam festival celebrated in the Anaimalai Masani Amman temple near Pollachi started on February 1 with a flag hoisting ceremony. The temple administration is actively engaged in cleaning the Kundam complex. Barricades are being constructed for men and women to stand separately and witness the Kundam festival. Arrangements have also been made for the devotees standing outside the premises. Drone cameras will capture the event and 2 LED screens will display live coverage of the event.

Additional lights have been installed at various places around the temple and surveillance cameras have been installed. Ambulance, fire brigade have also been deployed at the Kundam landing site. Medical teams have been appointed and will be on standby. Additional parking space has been allotted to park the vehicles of devotees.

More than 350 police armed forces and home guards will be deployed. The District Collector of Coimbatore has ordered that devotees from outside the district and other states are not allowed for this year's festival owing to the pandemic. Thousands of devotees from various areas other than Pollachi visit the temple every day.
