YouTuber cheats investors of money in Coimbatore; victims petition district Collector seeking respite

A YouTuber based in Sunadarapuram of Coimbatore swindled Rs.300 crores through his YouTube channel, luring the public from different districts into investing money online in Forex Trade.


Coimbatore: Victims of an online investment scam submitted a petition to the District Collector Dr. GS Sameeran seeking action against the YouTuber, Vimal Kumar who cheated them of Rs.300 crores.

Vimal Kumar of Sundarapuram in Coimbatore, reportedly through his YouTube channel, Mister Mini lured the public into investing money online in Forex Trade, promising higher profit as he frequently visited Kalapatti for a ‘live’ broadcast, and also uploaded the same on his video in his channel.

He promised to provide 8% incentive per month, at an in-person meeting he held contacting the viewers of the channel and gathered money through ‘Introductory Brokers’ by setting up offices in various districts and he also paid Rs.50,000 per broker and collected money through them.

The victims, unaware that they are actually being cheated, tried contacting Vimal Kumar, who had actually fled after a collection of Rs.300 crores from various investors. The investors, who did not receive incentives and interest, attempted to contact Vimal Kumar, his wife Rajeshwari, but both were not reachable.



Realizing the fix, the investors from districts including Trichy, Ramanathapuram, Tirunelveli, arrived at the District Collectorate held a demonstration wearing masks, sought action, and also submitted a petition to the Collector.



They also demanded the arrest of Vimal Kumar and Rajeshwari.
