'DMK anticipates clean sweep in local polls:' Min. Senthil Balaji in Pollachi

DMK Minister Senthil Balaji while campaigning for DMK candidates in Pollachi stated that the unopposed victory in Negamam marks a precedent for a clean sweep for DMK in the Urban Local Body elections.


Pollachi: The Tamil Nadu Electricity, Prohibition, and Excise Minister, Senthil Balaji visited Pollachi to campaign for DMK candidates ahead of the Urban Local Polls.



“The first victory in Negamam is an assurance for DMK’s victory in the local polls too,” stated Senthil Balaji. He was confident of a clean sweep for DMK in the urban local body elections.



Highlighting the unopposed victory of DMK's eight candidates in Periya Negamam Town Panchayat, the Minister felt that the DMK was assured of victory in other places as well.



The Minister was welcomed with a 'Poorna Kumbha' by over 100 women during his campaign for the 36 DMK candidates at the meeting held in Rajeshwari Thidal, in Pollachi.



While briefing the media, the Minister stated, “Several achievements have been implemented during the 8-month DMK rule. The Chief Minister, M K Stalin is being praised by the media not just in Tamil Nadu, but in other states as well. He is the best Chief Minister and the public always welcomes and supports him.

Addressing DMK’s landslide victory in the Assembly elections, the Minister stated that people are ready to vote for DMK and that they hope to gain a 100 percent win. The meeting was attended by a number of DMK functionaries including Southern District In-charge Dr. Varadarajan, former Minister Kannappan, DMK IT Team Deputy Secretary Dr. Mahendran, and former district In-charge Thendral Selvaraj.
