Tirupur: The locals of Chinna Nagar next to Royapuram in Tirupur went on to block roads as the corporation failed to address their inconvenience as the public receive sewage water in drinking water pipelines.

The locals of Chinna nagar next to Royapuram in Tirupur have been receiving sewage-contaminated water in drinking water pipelines. More than 2,000 families are living in Chinna Nagar area next to Tirupur Rayapuram. In the last few days, the people have been forced to survive without water, due to the presence of stools in the water.



Reportedly, the people of Chinna Nagar have complained to the corporation authorities about 45 times. Enraged due to the inaction, the locals blocked roads staging protests demanding action.

The Tirupur North police and municipal corporation officials, who arrived at the spot, held talks and dispersed the people of the area, clearing the road blockade.
