Man arrested for sale of banned lottery tickets in Kinathukadavu

The Kinathukadavu police arrested a man for selling banned lottery tickets and also seized the tickets from him.


Coimbatore: A 50-year-old man has been arrested for selling banned lottery tickets illegally at Kovilpalayam near Kinathukadavu.

The Tamil Nadu government has banned the sale of narcotics, lottery tickets and is on a keen watch to nab those involved in the illegal sales. The Kinathukadavu police were on a patrol in Kovilpalayam area near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district and caught hold of a man selling the banned lottery tickets near Kovilpalayam bus stop.

The accused is identified as Veeran (50) of Kovilpalayam Kaliyananputhur. The police subsequently arrested Veeran and seized the lottery tickets that he had in his possession for sale.
