Coimbatore: The election control room in Coimbatore was inspected by the district collector Dr. GS Sameeran on Wednesday.
District Collector Dr. G.S. Sameeran personally inspected the preparation of sub-electoral list at the Corporation Main Office and the Corporation's Control Room ahead of the urban local body elections 2022.
The deputy electoral roll will be released on the 4th of February, Friday, for the ordinary urban local body elections 2022. The District Collector personally reviewed the preparation of supplementary electoral rolls in the Corporation's Main Office, election department, and inquired about the status of the work.
The Collector also inspected and inquired about the everyday complaints received on election violations and the action taken against the received complaints at the control room.
During the inspection, The Commissioner of Municipal Corporation and the Returning Officer, Raja Gopal Sunkara, Deputy Commissioner of Corporation M. Sharmila, Municipal Engineer (P) Ramaswamy, Assistant Commissioner (P) of west zone, Saravanan, Council Secretary, A. Amalraj and corporation officials were present.
