Satish (38), and his brother Prakash (40), both from Chittur in Kerala, who had gone to Thirumoorthy Hills on a bullock cart on the occasion of Thai Amavasai on Monday, were hit by a car near Meenakshipuram via Meenkarai Road in the evening as they returned after darshan.
In the incident, the two men in the bullock cart were thrown away and survived with injuries. A bull died in the accident.
On a complaint lodged by them at Anaimalai police station, the police registered a case and are investigating the driver, Manikumar of Periyapodhu.
