The much-awaited DMK alliance ward allocation in Coimbatore Municipal Corporation was released on Tuesday. With the local body elections scheduled to be held on the 19th, the fact that the major parties DMK, AIADMK, and BJP are yet to release the list of candidates has created a lot of anticipation among the party men.

Following the loss in Coimbatore in the assembly elections, DMK is looking forward to grabbing the throne this time and there are serious studies being held on allotting seats, led by Minister Senthil Balaji, and the role of the coalition partners in the victory.

In the first phase of the candidate list, an official announcement has been made about the allocation to the coalition partners. Moreover, DMK sources said the final round of talks is underway as there was no information about the alliance and seat-holding of the Congress and Marxist Communist party.
