The Tamil Nadu government honours the works of police officers and every year the best performing stations are felicitated. The Peelamedu and Pollachi West Police Stations have been named the best performing stations for the year 2021
Coimbatore: The Peelamedu police station in Coimbatore and the Pollachi West Police Station have been entitled the best performing stations for the year 2021. On behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Best Performing Police Stations are selected annually at the state level and are felicitated with shields and certificates of appreciation by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Accordingly, the Coimbatore Peelamedu and Pollachi West Police Station have been adjourned the best police stations in Tamil Nadu for the year 2021. The best performing police stations are inspected and awarded annually for speedy disposal of complaints filed in police stations, proper maintenance of records and maintaining the campus hygiene. In this regard, Peelamedu police station has been named the Best Police Station for the year 2021 along with the Pollachi West Police Station in Coimbatore District.
It may be noted that the Best Police Station Award for the year 2020 was awarded to Tirupur South Police Station in Tamil Nadu. Similarly, Coimbatore Race Course Police Station was selected as the best police station for the year 2019. The RS Puram police station, was recognized as the best police stations in India, was certified at a function held at the BSF training centre in Kanpur, Madhya Pradesh in 2018.
