Tirupur: The Social Democratic Party Of India (SDPI), has made official the list of its first set of candidates who will be contesting the local polls in Tirupur and out of the seven names released, four are women contenders.
The Social Democratic Party of India District President Basheer Ahmed on Friday released a list of candidates in the first phase who will be contesting in 7 wards of 60 wards under Tirupur Corporation.
The party has announced that they will be contesting individually and not in alliance with any of the parties.
The district president stated that the list of the next set of contenders would be released soon and stated that the party is confident that the SDPI candidates would win the elections and rectify the irregularities.
