The incident occurred on Chettipalayam - Periyakuyizhi road this evening, when the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and crashed it into a roadside tree.
Coimbatore: Four people were severely injured and one killed on the spot, after a car in which they were traveling rammed into a tree near Chettipalayam road in Coimbatore, on January 29.
The incident occurred on Chettipalayam - Periyakuyizhi road this evening, when the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and crashed it into a roadside tree.
The car turned topsy turvy and one person was declared dead on the spot, four severely injured.
The Chettipalayam police rushed to the spot and send the injured to Coimbatore Government hospital for treatment. The body of the deceased was sent to postmortem examination.
The police are investigating the issue and trying to ascertain the whereabouts of those who travelled in the car.
