Complaints raised in case of delay in the provision of electricity connections for agricultural lands will be resolved, Chief Engineer of EB assures

The Coimbatore Electricity Board Chief Engineer announced that the petitioners shall immediately lodge a complaint in case of unwanted delay caused by the power board for the provision of electricity connection for the agricultural lands.


Coimbatore: Complaints can be raised immediately in case of delay in the provision of power connections for agriculture lands in Coimbatore, stated the city EB Chief Engineer.

In a press release, Coimbatore Regional Electricity Board Chief Engineer David Jeba Singh said that “The Government of Tamil Nadu has proposed to provide 14,557 connections to Coimbatore Region covering Coimbatore, Tirupur and Nilgiris districts under the scheme of providing one lakh agricultural electricity connections for the year 2021-22. The work in this direction is in progress.”

The Chief Engineer informed that the applicants can file a written complaint with the concerned Supervisory Engineer or Chief Engineer, if they are experiencing unnecessarily delay or if farmers are harassed for any reason, regarding the electricity connection. He assured that immediate departmental action will be taken against such complaints.
