Five huntsmen arrested in Coimbatore; guns, hunted porcupine recovered

Coimbatore: At Palakkad Ottrapalam, during a vehicle search, the forest department officials arrested five men who had in their possession, hunted porcupine and guns, bullets.

During a vehicle search near Ottrapalam in Palakkad, the forest officers caught hold of a car whose passengers had in their possession, weapons and animals that were hunted illegally. A dead porcupine, two guns and six bullets were seized.

The accused identified as Ashraf Ali (41), Mohammed (41), Haider Ali (41), Mohammad Iqbal (22) and Mohammad Sabir (30) of Perindalmanna have been arrested and investigation is underway.
