A video of a government bus derailing in Pollachi due to the driver’s misjudgement that was driven for about half-a-kilometre on the central barrier on the road has surfaced online.
Pollachi: A government bus in Pollachi deflected and ran over the central barrier for about half-a-kilometre, leaving the passengers terrified. A video of a government bus climbing the central barrier of the road near Pollachi due to the driver’s negligence has gone viral on social media.
A government bus with passengers on board from Pollachi new bus stand on Sunday, was headed towards Kaliapuram next to Vettaikaranpudur. Reportedly, the driver who attempted to overhaul the vehicle in front while passing near Srinivasapuram on Meenkarai Road misjudged causing a deflection.
The bus climbed on to the central barrier wall in the middle of the road and continued to move in the direction for about half-a-kilometre over the central barrier, causing panic among the passengers on the bus.
The driver by then managed to bring back the vehicle on the road. No casualties are reported. The video is currently going viral on social media.
