Ambulance driver Kathiresan, who was standing near the Eachanari 4 road junction at the time, rescued the deer, gave it water and administered first aid. He informed the Madukkarai police and the forest department. But, as help did not arrive after a long wait, the deer got up on its own and slowly ventured into the forest.
