Unidentified and abandoned 55-year old male rescued from Singanallur bus stand is undergoing treatment for illness at the GH in Coimbatore

A 55-year-old man seeking alms who is suffering from an illness and has been fighting for his life for three days without anyone tending to him is currently undergoing treatment at the Coimbatore GH.


Coimbatore: At the Coimbatore Singanallur bus stand usually elders who are neglected by their children stay inside the bus along with a large number of individuals who seek alms for a living.

Among them is a 55-year-old individual who was also seeking alms for a living. The man who is suffering from an illness has been fighting for his life for three days without anyone tending to him.

A social activist who visited the area noticed the condition of the 55-year old elderly male and informed the Coimbatore Singanallur police.



Police immediately rushed him to the Coimbatore Government Hospital by an ambulance. He is currently undergoing treatment at the Coimbatore Government Hospital for his illness. Police are investigating who the whereabouts of the individual and are leaving no stone unturned to establish the identity of the elderly male.
