Coimbatore: The district prohibition force during a raid in the city captured 293 bottles of liquor and 73 litre toddy that was being sold illicitly.
As per the orders of District Superintendent Selvanagarathinam, the prohibition enforcement police and the sub divisional police conducted surprise raids all over the city. As many as 47 people who were involved in the illegal sale of liquor were arrested. The force also captured 293 bottles of alcohol and 73 litre toddy in the raid.
The DSP has also urged the public to contact the District Police Control Room through the number 9498181212 and WhatsApp Number 7708100100 to lodge a complaint against those indulging in illegal activities. The identity of the informants will not be revealed.
