Tourist's video of tiger bathing at the Pykara boat house waterfront goes viral on social media

During a boat ride on the Pykara Dam, a tourist spotted a tiger bathing and captured the rare sight on the mobile phone.



The Nilgiris: The Nilgiris district is home to wildlife like tigers, leopards, bisons and deer.

The boat house in the Pykara Dam on the Ooty-Gudalur road is an initiative of the Department of Tourism for Nilgiris district is located right in the middle of a dense forest. From time to time, there have been instances of tourists spotting deer, bison and rarely a tiger during boat rides.

A video of a tiger bathing in the water by the waterfront has gone viral on social media with a tourist on the boat capturing the rare sight. The tiger is seen moving away from the waterfront and disappearing into the forest.
