BJP is growing into a strong opposition party; states national secretary of BJP in press meet

The Bharatiya Janata Party state President and National Secretary met the press on Friday in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: The BJP state president Annamalai and National general secretary Arun Singh met the press at the Gujrat Samaj.



Talking to the reporters, the general secretary stated that the party is gradually strengthening its place in the city and the State President of BJP, Annamalai’s vigorous efforts are shaping the party into strong opposition. He stated that 100 crore doses of vaccines have been administered in the country and in TN alone more than 5 crore jabs are administered.

He said that a majority of farmers, 99.9% stand by the Prime Minister, and hence the protests will cause no harm in UP.

Adding that the centre has allotted sufficient funds for Tamil Nadu, he said, “The development rate of Tamil Nadu is increasing and ₹.3,900 crores of the fund have been allocated for the state. The country’s GDP is increasing. 100 lakh worth of infrastructure facilities, increased job opportunities in 2020-21, necessary actions to provide a better health framework has been made possible by the centre. The transparent, corruption-less work of the state government is commendable”. He also said that the BJP has provided various welfare schemes and the BJP’s efforts were appreciated.

Following this, the BJP state President, Annamalai, stated that the contractor bills are cleared receiving 4% commission in Tuticorin and the pending bills have been sought from March to September. Accusing Minister Senthil Balaji, He questioned as to why TANGEDCO asked for this information.

Alleging that only certain bills have been cleared for contractors, he accused that the TNEB’s corruption is the cause for the 1.59 lakh crore debt. He accused Minister Senthil Balaji stating, “ The minister is up to his next scam after traffic scam, a job-buying scam, a sand scam.”



He added that since the private electricity purchase, various scams have taken place and the minister, Senthil Balaji is reconstructing various scams. The next contract is likely to be given to the BGR company, because of which these scams are on the rise.

Questing why the DMK MP Wilson should appear for BGR Energy scame at the court he stated that they will make Senthil Balaji answer them. He accused Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister, Kayavizhi stating, the hostel cook is made to prepare food at her house.

He said that “We have audio evidence of the person who informed about this, which we are unwilling to disclose”. He questioned about the social justice pointing the Welfare Minister’s act.

Urging the Chief Minister to intervene in the matter, he stated that the Tuticorin CBCID questioned the electricity board contractors. He stated that each issue shall be gradually brought out.
