Mohammad Ukkasa (27) who has been raising sheep did not like dogs visiting the home Francis, one of his neighbours. There were complaints of dogs biting sheep. Mohammed Ukkasa was arrested on suspicion of poisoning dogs and later released on bail.
Coimbatore: Francis (49), son of Raphael of Mayiladuthurai, Chettipalayam is a driver by profession and used to feed stray dogs on the street.
Thus, he constantly has, 15 to 20 dogs waiting for food in front of his house. Mohammad Ukkasa (27) is one of his neighbours who is raising sheep at home.
Mohammed Ukkasa did not like the idea of dogs visiting the home of Francis. On a few occasions, there were incidents of the dogs biting the sheep. Mohammed Ukkasa who was irated, is believed to have poisoned the stray dogs. A few of them died tragically yesterday. Francis who got wind of the modus operandi adopted by Mohammed Ukkasa’s lodged a complaint with the police station.
