District Collector inaugurates Diwali sale in Tirupur's Co-optex store

The business target set for this Diwali season by Co-optex is Rs.2.95 crores.


Tirupur: The regular Diwali discount sale has kick-started at Co-optex, the Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers' Co-operative Society Ltd. in Tirupur, with the District Collector S Vineet lighting the lamp. The sale is held every year, just ahead of the Diwali season.

For this year's Diwali special sale, garments woven by weavers from various parts of Tamil Nadu including new silk, fancy sarees and handloom garments have been put up for sale with a 30 percent discount. This year, a commercial target of Rs 2.95 crores has been set by the Co-optex management.
