Sokkanur farmers, petition MLA Damodaran request to ban industry harming agricultural lands, MLA assures action

The farmers demanded to ban the quarry and M Sand production industries that affect the farmlands in the area


Coimbatore: The farmers in Kinathukadavu Taluk, Sokkanur Panchayat demand a ban on the industries that cause harm to farmlands in the area is implemented.

The farmers visited the office of MLA Damodaran which is located near the old bus terminal in Kinathukadavu and submitted a petition to him. In the petition, they requested that appropriate action must be taken to stop the operation of crushed stone (jalli), M Sand production units that pose a threat to the farmlands.

On receiving the petition, the MLA Damodaran assured the farmers that action would be taken in this regard.
