Burglars break-in and loot in textile shop in Pollachi

The thieves took away cash ₹.12 thousand and 20 dhotis from the store.


Pollachi: A textile store was broken into in Pollachi and around 20 dhotis and ₹.12,000 is reportedly stolen.

Balamurugan, (46) of Kottur Samathur next to Pollachi, runs a textile store in the same area. As usual, Balamurugan left home after calling it a day at work. The following morning, when he was back to open his store, he was shocked to see the shutter already open. A further search inside his store, revealed that 20 dhotis were lost and cash, ₹.12,000 was missing.

Balamurugan lodged a complaint with the Kottur Police Station. The fingerprint experts and police reached the store and collected the evidence from the scene of crime. Police have registered a case and are examining the footage collected from the CCTV cameras installed in the area. The police is on the lookout for the miscreants who are responsible for the crime.
