The Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police has warned that stern action will be taken against those involved in such illegal activities.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Police have arrested and jailed two men for selling ganja in Mettupalayam taluk. On the orders of Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, S Selvanagarathinam, the police conducted a raid on all police stations in Coimbatore district as a Drive Against Drugs (DAD) action to eradicate narcotics.
Two men R Panneerselvam, alias Nagaraj (age 41) andK Gopalakrishnan (21)from Mettupalayam area were arrested for selling ganja banned by the Government. 500 grams of ganja were confiscated from both of them and a case has been registered against them. The suspects were remanded in court custody.
