14 crore people lost jobs in the last 18 months - ex-union minister Utham Kumar Reddy in a press meet in Coimbatore

Telengana Lok Sabha Member and Ex-Cabinet Minister spoke with the reporters at a press meeting held at the Congress office in Coimbatore. Further he said, the corporate giants like Ambani, Adani and Amazon have paid ₹8546 crores as legal fee which is a surprising fact, as Amazon is a foreign company.


Coimbatore: The Telengana Lok Sabha member and Ex-Cabinet Minister, Utham Kumar Reddy met with the press on Friday at the Congress Office, Kamaraj Bhavan, near the Railway station Coimbatore.

In the press meet, he stated that the act of killing 8 farmers by diving over them, was a brutal one on part of the Central Minister’s son. He questioned as to why did the Prime Minister not visit the place nor express his regret, while he participated in an event close by. He demanded compensations to the families of the victims.

He condemned the arrest of Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi who tried to visit the place. He also stated that why hasn’t the Central Minister resigned his post yet, and the UP Chief Minister and the Prime Minister’s silence if defeaning on the issue. The Ex-Minister stated that the Congress Party will forever standby the farmers and support their cause. He also mentioned that the Supreme court has to intervene and if not the UP police would cover up the case.

Further he said, the corporate giants like Ambani, Adani And Amazon have paid ₹8546 crores as legal fee which is a surprising fact, as Amazon being is a foreign company. The changes in laws for the big corporates affect the small and medium sized enterprises are greatly affected. As many as 14 crore have lost jobs in the past one and a half years, while certain big figures have profited under the PM Modi’s regime. He added that the US will be investigating on Amazon, the ex-minister demanded an explanation on the meeting with US President.



The ex-minister added that drugs are being smuggled in India through the ports of Adani group which is a threat to the nation. He said 3,500 kg of heroin was recently seized in India and was worth 21,000 crores while in June and July, drugs worth ₹1,75,000 crore were smuggled.

Tamil Nadu Congress leader K S Alagiri, stated that Seeman, Naam Tamizhar Party has been criticizing Congress for a long time now. He stated that the party should use appropriate language. He saud that Seeman is using such terms as his policies are not being accepted.

'He claims to be a political leader and seeks publicity because he speaks violently.' The congress party have raised a complaint with DGP Sylendra Babu and that they expect an action within 7 days.Stating that he completely agrees being critized as they are part and parcel, he demanded an appropriate language. He mentioned that the complaint was completely from the party and not a personal one. He urged immediate legal action.
