Coimbatore: The District SP and DIG felicitated the special squad of Kinathukadavu police who captured the kidnappers within 24 hours in Coimbatore.
Sathish Kumar owns a bar in Pollachi. He was abducted and robbed of money and jewelry by five men near Veerapakavundanpudhur in the Kinathukadavu region. The kidnappers flew with an amount of ₹.1.40 lakhs and his gold chain. A special squad was formed under Perur range DSP Tirumal. The police located the culprits in Nilgiris after which they rushed to the spot and caught the five members within 24 hours of lodging the complaint.
Inspector Senthil Kumar, Sub- Inspector Arul Prakash, Special Branch Sub-Inspector Madhavan, Chief Constable Haider Ali, and First Level Constable Mercury were felicitated by DIG Muthusamy and SP, Selva Nagaratnam, Coimbatore at the Office of the District Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore on Friday.
