Volunteer applications invited for implementing DMK’s ‘Namakku Naame’ welfare scheme in Coimbatore

Applications for implementation of welfares for public welcomed


Coimbatore: The ‘Namakku Naame’ scheme of the DMK Government is all set to resume in Coimbatore, with applications being invited from volunteers who wish to aid the implementation of the welfare scheme.

As part of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's various new schemes introduced for the welfare of the people, a sum of Rs.300 crores has been allocated throughout Tamil Nadu for the ‘Nammakku Naame’ sheme. The public, social welfare organizations, institutions, CSR financial institutions, resident welfare societies and others are to provide one share of the fund, while the additional funds will be provided by the Government, Welfare services recommended by the people will be implemented by the Government through this scheme.

Various infrastructure works such as the renovation of public parks, water bodies rehabilitation, improvement of schools and Anganwadi centres, planting of saplings, modern street lights, playgrounds, health centers, e-burial grounds, roads, bridges, and rainwater drains will be taken care of through the 'Namakku Naame' scheme.

Volunteers in Coimbatore who wish to help implement the scheme are requested to submit the applications to the Commissioner or Municipal Engineer, Coimbatore Corporation. The CCMC Commissioner and Special Officer, Raja Gopal Sunkara has informed that the City Engineer can be contacted in person or through the number 8190000200 or by e-mail [email protected] for further details.
