Press conference held today at CPM office regarding human chain protest on September 15, in Coimbatore

A human chain protest will be held across Tamil Nadu on September 15, International Democracy Day, demanding the release of all prisoners in the Bhima Koregaon conspiracy case on behalf of the Liberation Movement of Prisoners in the Bhima Goregaon conspiracy case

Coimbatore: Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan held a press conference at the CPM office in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore. On January 1, 1818, the Peshwa forces were defeated at Koregaon on the banks of the Bhima River near Pune.

Every year on January 1,they gather in Bhima Koregaon to pay homage to the victory. The case was registered after 200 years and under ‘UAPA’ Act in the absence of all criminal records needed to prosecute even under ordinary Indian criminal law.

Bishop Stan Swamy, who was in jail, died in prison on 05.07.2021 without proper medical treatment. The 15 people arrested are still in jail facing an uncertain future. All the prisoners were intellectual personalities, speakers, writers, activists for the people. According to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), their laptops contained letters related to the Maoist organization, which is the basic source for the cases. But it has now emerged that this is a planned conspiracy. The Union BJP government has been harassing them without even granting them bail despite proving to be a planned conspiracy.

Although all the prisoners are important, it is to be noted that Prof. Anand Teltumbde, the husband of Dr. BR Ambedkar's granddaughter Rama, who is emotionally attached to the Indian people, is also imprisoned. A human chain protest will be held across Tamil Nadu on September 15, International Democracy Day, demanding the release of all prisoners in the Bhima Koregaon conspiracy case on behalf of the Liberation Movement of Prisoners in the Bhima Goregaon conspiracy case, which was initiated by the Untouchability Eradication Front. 23 organizations including the Marxist Party, the Communist Party of India, the Viduthalai Siruthaigal, the TPDK and the Adi Tamil Peravai are to take part in this great human chain for human rights.

He called on the masses to take part in the rally in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore, to defend the country's democratic rights and expose the anti-people activities of the central government. Earlier in the day, TPDK General Secretary K. Ramakrishnan, UK Sivagyanam of the Theendamai Oilippu Munnani, Venmani, leader of the Dravida Tamil Party, and Ashraf Ali of the Odukkapattor Viduthalai Iyakkam participated.
