A 5 feet high statue of Vinayagar has been placed in a private place on behalf of the Hindu Makkal Party in the Coimbatore Thermutti area.
Coimbatore: Vinayagar Chathurthi is celebrated as per the instructions of the government subject to coronavirus. He prayed that they prayed for coronavirus should go away and a prosperous Tamil Nadu and a strong India should be formed.

He said that he will cooperate with the rules of the state. DMK's EVR is not the same as Annathurai in that he would neither offer prayers or seek blessings.
He said that Vinayagar Chaturthi did not need so many restrictions and they could have called the Hindu organizations and conducted the ceremony in a smooth manner. He also said that CM Stalin is doing his duty as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. and that he was doing his duty to reinstate his faith.
