Lawyers boycott Coimbatore Court to protest against attack on Secretary Muruganandam

Coimbatore Bar Association Joint Committee demand immediate action on those who attacked Secretary Muruganandam.

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Court wore a deserted look on Tuesday owing to lawyers boycotting all court proceedings. The boycott was to protest against the attack on Muruganandam, the Coimbatore Bar Association Secretary at his office by an unidentified group a few days ago.

The Tamil Nadu Pondicherry JACC Bar Association Joint Committee Head, Nandakumar demanded immediate arrest of the culprits. 'Lawyers are prone to easy attacks such as this, for which security measures should be taken,' he reiterated. He added that all the lawyers boycotted court proceedings in Coimbatore on Tuesday, as the first phase of showcasing their solidarity.
