Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Salon workers Association has filed a complaint alleging that corporates are cheating people by advertising that they give haircuts for one rupee.
District Secretary Jayakumar said that corporates in the salon industry have already affected their livelihood and now people are being deceived by falsely propagating that a haircut is done for a rupee at a corporate saloon shop in Chennai. They alleged that once the customer enters the shop they bill up to 3 thousand rupees. Corporates who spend billions to deceive people will severely affect the livelihoods of ordinary saloon workers.
He further added, "They may be spreading false propaganda all over Tamil Nadu so this should be stopped immediately by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and the respective District Collectors. In an environment where our livelihoods have already been severely affected by the coronavirus, the government must ensure that such corporations do not shut out ordinary people like us and make our life vulnerable. "
District Chairman Sasikumar and Deputy Secretary Satish Kumar were present when the petition was filed.
