Impose penalties on those who violate safety guidelines - Wedding Hall owners

Owners requested to penalize public who violate the rules and not the wedding hall owners who are struggling.


Pollachi: With the second wave of Covid under control in Tamil Nadu, relaxations have been announced for various sectors.

Shops function till 6, tourists spots were opened for visitors, theatres operate with 50% occupancy.



Weddings and other functions were allowed to be conducted with 50 guests. Hall owners who violated the rules were imposed penalties as well.

However, demand has been put forth by these owners stating to penalize the public who violate the rules. Also, with the second wave affecting their business, the owners lament that their financial status are worst hit thus imposing fines on them is causing much more difficulties
