28 arrested for illicit sale of liquor and tobacco
Coimbatore: Coimbatore rural and urban continue to report cases of narcotic sales every day. 28 were arrested in the city today for illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco products.
The Prohibition Enforcement Police and the sub-divisional team are on regular patrol in and around the city. On the orders of The District Superintendent of Police, Selvanagaratnam, the city patrol caught 21 people selling alcohol illegally. The Police seized 186 bottles of alcohol from the accused.
7 were arrested for illicit sale of banned tobacco products.
