Collector Sameeran receives a copy of the letter; the writer reminisces Anitha’s death anniversary
Coimbatore:Women Liberation Party leader, Sabarimala wrote to the honorable President of India to cancel NEET on the death anniversary of Anitha.
Anitha, died by suicide 4 years back unable to bear her failure in NEET, eligibility examination held for pursuing Medicine. The incident created huge outbursts and chaos all over Tamil Nadu. Protests were staged requesting a change of syllabus or a complete ban on NEET in TN.
'DMK had also promised that they’d ban NEET if they win the elections. However, the announcement of the exams has bothered me immensely and that is why I am writing this letter to the Honorable President of India', stated Sabarimala.
She also reminisced the death of Anitha and stated that the letters shall be sent to every governor in India and to the Honorable Prime Minister.
