Public fear more landslides in Anna Nagar in Valparai

A building collapsed due to heavy rains in Valparai causing more fear among residents.


Coimbatore: It has been raining continuously for the last few days in Valparai, Coimbatore district. This has caused water levels to rise in the rivers.

The building on the way to Anna Nagar Mariamman temple in Valparai Nagar area suddenly collapsed due to continuous rains lashing Valparai on Monday. The building collapsed onto the roofs of houses in the nearby residential area.

This caused panic among the residents in the area and people have been inconvenienced since the ruins of the building has blocked pathways. The public in the area have demanded that the concerned Municipality Commissioner and Tahsildhar take immediate action to clear the landslide-affected areas.
