Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will take part in a meet with top army officers from across 30 countries at Wellington Cantonment in Coonoor in the Nilgiris district.
Coimbatore: Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh will be arriving to Coimbatore today, to take part in a two-day meet at Wellington Cantonment in Coonoor in the Nilgiris district.
Due to bad weather conditions, the Minister who will arrive at Sulur Airforce base from New Delhi at 12:10, today will be travelling to Coonoor through road (Mettupalayam - Kothagiri road). Owing to his visit, over 1000 police personnel have been placed on security alert in Coimbatore and the Nilgiris district.
During the two-day meet, the Minister will be meeting with 30 top army officers from various counties. He is also scheduled to visit the Army Training College and Madras Regiment Centre, on Sunday morning.
