Petition filed by differently-abled with the Coimbatore District Collector seeking justice and protection, as well as urging immediate action against miscreants based on a complaint lodged with the police.
Coimbatore: Over 60 people, including the differently-abled, mentally-challenged and those with hearing impairment stay at an orphanage in Sundarapuram area of Coimbatore. They are provided with food, clothing and medical care, free of charge in that orphanage.
Some miscreants living in the area who have been involved in illegal activities like sale of ganja and illegal liquor reportedly beat and kicked two of the differently-abled who were on the way to work. Marimuthu and Ranjith who were kicked suffered grievous injuries and have been admitted to a hospital on Wednesday.
